An addendum to the last post:

It occurs to me that Apple taking the lion’s share of the profits from the mobile phone industry means something else to investors: It means they know what to do to take that profit. They “skate where the puck will be”, and have proved that their guess was accurate. Betting on high quality phones, touchscreens for fully costumizable user interfaces, downloadable applications, and more, their gamble has paid off. They’ve also done the same with computers, albeit to a slightly lesser degree.

Now if that doesn’t inspire some investor confidence, I don’t know what will.
