iPhone Game Center goes live for iOS 4.1 users

nikf:

A good catch by my former colleagues at Download Squad - developers with access to the iOS 4.1 GM can now create live (not sandboxed) Game Center accounts, ahead of the rumoured 8th September iOS 4.1 launch.

I’m (somewhat predictably) nikf on Game Center. Let’s hope there’s some Game Center-enabled games available tomorrow!

Update: Once you’re running 4.1, you might just want to launch Settings.app - Notifications - Game Center and turn sounds off. The trumpet fanfare for each friend request will get a little weary after a while.

I’m on there too now— ping me as AlanQuatermain (I’m the same thing on Ping as well, not that I buy music very often these days). And Nikf is damned fast off the draw, given the late hour back in Brighton; almost a whole five seconds elapsed before I got a reply back XD
