So if you’ve been following my Twitter feed you know by now about the flood which destroyed my basement office, and you’ve seen the number of computers which had to be thrown out. For everyone else, here are those pictures, and some more of the damage inside.

We also found out that there’s a ton of stuff in this basement which is against building code. So that’s not good either. Sadly, since the water came in through the sump pump, the insurance doesn’t cover it (only damage caused by water leaking in through the superstructure is covered).

As to the computers on the lawn: yes, there are some classic PowerPC macs there. Full of water now, of course.
