If you’re on OS X, and run a blog hosted on Tumblr (like this one), it might be wise to run this tool every so often. Just in case.
While I don’t think it’s worth going overboard about the Tumblr outage (it’s a blog people, it’s not like your lives depend on it) this is a worthwhile tool for keeping your own backups, just in case. You should always keep backups of everything important to you. If your Tumblog is that important, then back it up.
