Sorry to bug you, but have you completely given up on Apple TV and as a second part to this Q, what do you think of Boxee's soon-to-be recent hardware debut? (That remote is too cool for school regardless.)

I haven’t had any time to work on the SDK (or even to get to grips with the more recent software releases) for the AppleTV, and with my upcoming post at Apple I won’t be able to maintain something like that any more.

However, the source code for the ATV 1.1 developer kit is available on github for any interested party to fork and update, and I’ll be around to answer questions on how I set it up, etc.

Edit: Forgot about the second part of the question, doh.

As to the Boxee box, I think it looks pretty sweet. I’ve not actually used Boxee at all, but might well be in the market for it (now that I’m going to be living in the US and thus able to access things like Hulu through it). I’ve worked with one of the guys responsible for getting Boxee running on the AppleTV, and was very impressed with what he was able to do, so I expect this product to have a bright future.
